Choosing a HEPA Filter: What to Confirm Beyond the Grade

A HEPA grade is an important part of a specification, but it does not describe the complete filter assembly. Two products with the same requested grade may have different depths, seals and mounting arrangements. Selecting a replacement requires both the filtration requirement and the physical configuration.

Keep the grade and standard together

Copy the required classification exactly as provided by the equipment specification or existing documentation. If a requirement is incomplete, resolve it before choosing a product. Do not replace a specified classification with an assumed equivalent from another grading system.

Identify the construction

CINRIWA offers mini-pleat HEPA / ULPA filters, deep-pleat separator HEPA filters and gel-seal configurations. These descriptions identify different construction or sealing choices; they should not be treated as interchangeable names.

Check the actual installation before switching from one construction to another. A product photograph can help identify a family, but it does not establish compatibility.

Measure the full assembly

Provide width, height and depth, including any projecting features that affect installation. Describe the frame material and the way the filter is clamped or supported. For replacement work, photographs of the housing interface are often as useful as a front-facing picture of the filter.

Specify the sealing arrangement

Confirm whether the installation requires a gasket or a gel-seal arrangement and where the interface is located. Include the relevant drawing or a clear photograph. The seal and housing must work together; selecting a grade alone does not resolve this connection.

List any required handles, protective grids or other accessories separately so the quoted configuration is clear.

Include operating and purchasing details

State the required airflow, operating conditions, quantity and delivery destination. Ask for data for the exact size and construction under review. Avoid carrying a figure from one depth or configuration into another without confirmation.

For a replacement enquiry, send CINRIWA the existing specification and installation details. A complete request helps keep the grade, dimensions and sealing requirements aligned.
