A factory may have an air-handling system for the building and separate extraction equipment serving individual machines. Both move air, but they can perform different jobs. Knowing which air stream a filter serves is essential when identifying a replacement.
Understand the ventilation task
General ventilation manages air movement through occupied or process spaces. Filters in the relevant air-handling equipment treat the air passing through that system. The required filter depends on the installation and the specified air-quality task.
CINRIWA’s panel pre-filters and bag filters are product families to review for appropriate ventilation applications.
Identify a process source
A machining enclosure, powder transfer point or other production operation may have dedicated extraction. That equipment is intended to capture contamination associated with the process. Its filter requirements reflect the material being collected and the collector design.
A dust cartridge and an oil mist element address different product requirements. Neither should be selected merely because it can be fitted into the available space.
Do not treat the two systems as substitutes
Installing a different filter in the building ventilation system does not establish that contamination is being captured effectively at its source. Likewise, a machine extraction filter does not define the performance of the room ventilation.
Capture arrangements, air paths and equipment operation need to be considered by the responsible system team. A filter supplier can review the component requirement once its position and duty are clear.
Trace the installation before enquiring
Record where the air enters, which equipment contains the filter and where the treated air goes. Include the process description and the original element model. A simple sketch can prevent confusion between a supply-air filter and a process-exhaust element.
Ask for the right component
CINRIWA supplies filtration products for different tasks. When sending an enquiry, identify whether you need a ventilation filter, a dust collection element or an oil mist component. Include the equipment details so the discussion begins with the correct product family.
