An air filter selected for dust does not automatically address unwanted gases. Before choosing a product, identify whether the task involves airborne particles, gaseous contaminants or a mixture. This distinction helps avoid buying a filter for a job its specification does not cover.
Define what needs to be controlled
Describe the source of the contamination and provide any available information identifying the substances present. A general description such as ‘bad smell’ is a starting point for discussion, but it does not establish the correct media or the expected service life.
If particles and gases are present together, record both requirements. They may need different parts of the filtration arrangement.
Understand the role of particle filtration
Panel, bag and HEPA filters use filtering media to capture particles. Their particle classifications should not be read as ratings for removal of gases or odours. Selecting a higher particle grade does not by itself answer a gas-phase treatment requirement.
Review activated carbon in context
Activated carbon is used for adsorption of certain gaseous substances. Its suitability and behaviour depend on the contaminant and operating conditions. It should not be described as a universal solution for every gas.
CINRIWA supplies carbon panel filters, V-bank carbon filters and activated carbon media. The required product form depends on the housing and application.
Provide more than dimensions
Include the airflow, contaminant information, operating conditions and details of the existing equipment. State whether you need a complete filter or media for a specified housing. For replacement media, identify the original material and loading arrangement where known.
Do not use pressure drop alone as proof that gas adsorption capacity remains available. Agree the appropriate maintenance approach for the application instead of assuming the particle-filter replacement method applies unchanged.
Prepare the enquiry
Send the dimensions, photographs, quantity and contaminant details to CINRIWA. If the contaminant is not yet identified, make that clear. Establishing the requirement is the first step toward reviewing a suitable carbon product.
