Choose by Contaminant and Operating Conditions
Start by identifying what needs to be removed, then check the equipment, airflow and operating conditions. Particle capture and gas-phase adsorption require separate assessment.
For Dust Collection
Dust characteristics
Describe the dust source and whether it is moisture-sensitive, sticky or abrasive. These properties influence the appropriate filter medium.
Operating conditions
Provide operating temperature, humidity and airflow, including any known process variations.
Equipment & cleaning
Identify the equipment model, mounting arrangement and cleaning method specified for the equipment.
Media & construction
Confirm any required membrane or antistatic configuration. These are product-specific options, not properties of every filter.
For Gas-Phase Filtration
Target gas or odour source
Identify the specific contaminant wherever possible. An odour description alone may not establish which adsorbent is suitable.
Concentration & treatment objective
Share available measurement results and the required outlet condition or application objective.
Airflow, temperature & humidity
Provide operating conditions so adsorbent suitability and contact-time requirements can be assessed.
Housing & upstream filtration
Confirm the available dimensions, installation depth and existing particle prefiltration arrangement.
Not sure which information is available? Send photos and the details you already have. Dedicated intake cartridges must also be matched to their intended equipment; they are not automatically interchangeable with dust collector cartridges.
Check Dimensions & Installation Details
Confirm the installation dimensions and sealing arrangement before ordering. Similar-looking filters may have different mounting requirements.
Cartridge Filters
Illustrative only · Not to scale
Provide outside diameter, inside diameter and overall height. Include photographs of both end caps and the mounting point to confirm openings, seals and fixing details.
Filter Bags
Illustrative only · Not to scale
Provide bag diameter and length. Confirm the top, bottom and mounting construction, including the support arrangement required by the equipment.
Panel & V-Bank Filters
Illustrative only · Not to scale
Provide actual outside width, height and depth. Check the flange, gasket, sealing face and installation direction against the filter housing.
Sintered plate elements: use the selected model’s dimension drawing to confirm its profile and mounting positions.
Activated carbon media: specify rolls, cut sheets or framed formats, with dimensions and quantity.

Frequently Asked Questions
Understand product roles, replacement matching and the differences between particle filtration and gas adsorption.
What is the difference between dust collection and gas-phase filtration?
Dust filtration captures particles, while gas-phase filtration targets specific gaseous contaminants. Some carbon filters also contain particle-filtering layers, but particle capture and gas adsorption must be assessed separately.
Do you supply complete dust collection systems?
The products presented on this page are filter elements, bags and media for compatible equipment. This range does not represent complete dust collectors or turnkey gas treatment systems. Share the requirements of your existing or planned equipment for component selection.
Can you match an existing filter cartridge?
An existing reference, dimensions and photographs provide a starting point. Final matching requires confirmation of end caps, seals, mounting, equipment and operating requirements. A reference listing is not a guarantee of interchangeability. Explore replacement cartridge references.
Are dust filter bags the same as ventilation pocket filters?
No. Their construction, mounting and operating arrangements differ, so they should not be directly interchanged. For air-handling pocket filters, explore Fine Air Filters.
Are all needle felt products antistatic or membrane-coated?
No. Antistatic and membrane-coated media are specific configurations. Confirm the required properties and selected material for the application; these descriptions do not apply to every needle felt product.
Can activated carbon remove every gas or odour?
No universal removal claim applies. Suitability depends on the target contaminant, concentration, adsorbent and operating conditions. Identify the gas or odour source and provide available measurements before selecting a product.
Do G4 or F7 ratings describe gas removal performance?
No. These are particle filtration grade descriptions, not measures of gas adsorption efficiency, capacity or service life. Assess the gas-phase requirements separately from the particle filtration grade.
When should carbon filters be replaced?
Pressure drop alone cannot determine whether the adsorbent is exhausted. Follow an application-specific maintenance plan using appropriate contaminant monitoring and, where applicable, media assessment. Do not rely only on smell for critical contaminants. Inspect and maintain any particle-filtering stage separately according to its instructions.
